Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for all Parts Department functions and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Orders parts for the Parts Department from multiple suppliers.
Purchases paint supplies used by Parts Department from multiple suppliers.
Provides training and development for Parts Department employees including attendance at manufacturer training seminars and workshops.
Operates and maintains the Parts Department according to safety, compliance, quality control and appearance standards established by the organization.
Monitors manufacturer billing, sales productivity and expenses.
Control inventory investments and provide adequate turn ratio while keeping obsolescence to a minimum level.
Analyze department operations and storage layout and revise as needed for maximum effectiveness.
Direct Shipping and Receiving efforts to ensure accurate and timely processing.
Ensure that all purchases are properly accounted for before payment is made, match purchase orders and invoices.
Ensure that all parts are properly tagged to ensure that the Body Shop is recovering full credit.

Ability to deal with moderately complicated procedures and tasks requiring independent judgment to select options and/or evaluate results.
Communication Skills:
Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and difference between words and between a series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Tools and Equipment:
Includes a basic level of use of office tools such as telephone, fax, copier, scanner and calculator; hand tools; specialized tools; overhead equipment; diagnostic equipment; hoist; Unibody and frame alignment equipment and hydraulic press.
License/Certifications:
California Driver's License; Manufacturer Training certifications preferred.

Work from detailed instructions and consult with others on unusual decisions but do not typically share responsibility for final decisions.

Minimum Requirements
Minimum Results Required
Produce equal hours worked per day.
Ensure quality control on every vehicle repaired.
Always maintain a clean and safe work area.
When test driving vehicles always observe California laws and always protect customers vehicle.
Maintain training status by keeping up with factory recommended classes.
Dealership required training (KPA).
Must maintain a valid California driver's license that is always insurable.
Maintain a positive and welcoming relationship with both staff and clients at all time.
Educational Requirements
The minimum educational requirement to successfully perform the duties required of this position is an associate degree or 2 years of formal training beyond high school.
Experience Requirements
The minimum experience requirement to successfully perform the duties required of this position is two to four years.
Physical/Weight Requirements
An employee in this position should be able to comfortably stand, walk, sit, bend, grasp, talk, hear, see and have regular attendance to perform their assigned work. They will also be required to be able to use hands and fingers. If an employee Is asked to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds the employee must use approved safety techniques and when lifting loads heavier than 50 pounds, use two or more people to lift the load. Where requested and otherwise appropriate, reasonable accommodation will be provided in the absence of any of these abilities.
Work Environment
An employee in this position will be required to work in the following environments: standard office, equipment and machinery and outdoor weather conditions. The noise level will be moderate.
